Being With What Is

Through Mindfulness & Movement

Empower yourself in these challenging times, allowing the body, mind and spirit more fluidity and freedom. By utilizing practices that help connect with and release potentially suppressed feelings & impulses within, it’s possible to access and bring forth more resiliency and joy of living.

In a supportive and safe space, we will use Authentic Movement and other mind/body practices that encourage expression unique to each individual and to each moment, and as such, can encompass a full movement range, from large to small, or even complete stillness.  Please note that while prior dance experience is helpful, it is not necessary. Beeara Edmonds & Russ Phillips will guide this ongoing group.

1st & 3rd Sundays, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

(please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early as doors will lock promptly at 3:30)

Beeara received her BA in Dance & Movement Studies at  Naropa University in 1982. She has been dedicated to movement expression and contemplative healing practices ever since. With enthusiasm and grace, she has led Authentic Movement and meditation groups as well as hosted and DJ’d the local Planet Boogie dance event for 10 years.

Russ has an MA  in Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University (2001).  He has expressed his life long passion for dance and movement through such forms as ballroom dancing, contact improv, TaKeTiNa and free style.  Russ savors opportunities that allow the body’s  mysterious subtle impulses to arise and be expressed from deep within itself.
